Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child have to be on Medicaid?

No. Children who are uninsured, underinsured, or American Indian/Alaska Native also qualify.

Will this cost me anything?

Vaccines are provided at no cost through TVFC. A small administration fee may apply, but Medicaid covers this, and it can be waived if needed.

What should I bring to the appointment?

Please bring your child’s ID and, if applicable, their Medicaid card or insurance information.

What if my child has private insurance?

If their insurance covers vaccines, they do not qualify under TVFC. If insurance does not cover vaccines, they may qualify as 'underinsured' at specific clinics.
